A most satisfyingly weird thing.
It looks interesting, but its real charm is that the gate frame's top is firmly affixed with a couple of Open Lock clips - don't glue it down!
For inside the gate frame are a series of five slots and four different panels, one solid and the other three with different and increasingly open patterns. This allows for a multitude of different appearances for the gate from totally, solidly sealed to completely and wholly open and a number of permutations between the two, to represent different states of activation, etc...
